“Extending our range of handheld devices and operating platforms gives our business customers more choice,” explains Billy D’Arcy, Head of Corporate and Business Sales, O2 Ireland. “Business customers are increasingly adopting PDA devices to enable them to work more efficiently on the move. Recent research conducted on behalf of O2 amongst SME owner managers in Ireland revealed that the number of executives now using a PDA has doubled from 10% in 2004 to 19% today.”

O2 has a full range of Windows Mobile devices such as the XDA Orbit II and the HP 614 as well as a range of price plans which offer cost effective options for business customers.

“Windows Mobile helps businesses thrive by enabling people to stay on top of work with a PC-like experience which includes mobile e-mail, contacts, and calendar and Microsoft Office Mobile software” comments Colm Torris, Mobile Communications Business Lead, Microsoft Ireland. “The Windows Mobile platform utilises familiar management tools to provide a fast highly scalable solution with a low total cost of ownership. It’s a solution that not only aids personal productivity but goes beyond mobile email to provide support for powerful line of business solutions like CRM, ensuring they have the information they need, where and when they need it.”
